What is a Web Browser?

A Web Browser is a piece of software that allows a user to view web pages and interact with content and media located on the world wide web and/or network. The most common way to interact on the internet is through your web browser. If you are using a Microsoft Windows based computer, you already have a web browser installed by default named Internet Explorer or IE for short. Other web browsers can be downloaded and used such as Mozilla Firefox, AOL Explorer and Opera.
